Top 50 Farmers is an acceleration platform paving the way for regenerative agriculture to be scaled from soil to gut. We identify the farmers who are role modeling what the future of farming looks like and share their stories. We also connect them with industry executives and pioneering thought leaders to unlock new opportunities across the value chain.
Assistant Professor at Copenhagen University.
With a lifelong passion for resilient and diverse food systems, I work to bridge my scientific background with the urgent need to transform our food system. I deeply value holistic thinking and the power of building communities committed to meaningful change.
I hold a PhD focused on crop diversification and food security, with an emphasis on the potential of neglected and underutilized species (NUS). My research on breadfruit (Artocarpus altilis) explored its market potential for food security and climate adaptation on the Hawaiian Islands. Over the years, I have led and contributed to multiple EU projects fostering collaboration across European food initiatives. Currently, I am the co-coordinator of CLEVERFOOD, an EU-funded project that unites youth, farmers, investors, researchers, and policymakers in transforming Europe’s food system toward a fair, circular, and plant-forward approach. By connecting new and ongoing projects, CLEVERFOOD drives impactful synergies that support the region-wide transition to sustainable food systems.
As board chair for Foodprint Nordic, I champion regenerative agriculture and sustainable business practices, guiding initiatives that promote biodiversity, soil health, and responsible land use. I believe regenerative agriculture is essential for a resilient food future, creating systems that restore ecosystems and empower communities to produce healthy food responsibly and effectively.
