You Are a Role Model to Us
If you are a farmer practicing regenerative farming or transitioning to regenerative agriculture, you already are a role model.
At Top 50 Farmers, we’re accelerating the regenerative farming movement by spotlighting and empowering the farmers leading the way. We need your help to find and celebrate these heroic and hardworking farmers.
Every year, fifty regenerative farmers are selected for the Top 50 Farmers Recognition Program. Each cohort gains access to mentorship, peer-to-peer networking, and pathways to financing and market opportunities based on their needs and vision.
The fifty farmers' stories are also shared via Top 50 Farmers channels to show the narrative about how farming is part of the solutions and to inspire the next generation to enter the field.
By nominating a regenerative farmer or applying directly yourself, we connect islands of regeneration so that we can join forces and stand stronger together.
Together We Grow
For millennia, communities have been fed and fueled by regenerative farmers that work in harmony with nature, rejuvenating the land, restoring biodiversity, nourishing healthy people, and building diverse ecosystems.
These farmers have the ability to heal the land against mounting threats of climate change, soil degradation, and biodiversity loss.
With only 12% of farmers in the EU under 40, the future of agriculture is facing a generational crisis. We must inspire the next wave of farmers to join the regenerative farming movement.
By joining Top 50 Farmers, you will become part of a cohort shaping the future of farming and securing a regenerative, bright future for generations to come.

Why We Score Certain Questions
We score specific questions to ensure that we can effectively identify and select the Top 50 Farmers. These questions are directly aligned with our Impact measurements of our program, which help us track and measure the regenerative practices and impact on farms. By scoring answers to these questions, we can assess a farm’s regenerative practices, diversity, impact, and vision for the future.
Scored questions are focused on:
-
The diversity and application of regenerative practices on the farm.
-
Efforts to monitor and improve soil health and biodiversity, which are key
indicators of environmental health. -
The farm's approach to sharing knowledge and inspiring others in the
regenerative farming community. -
The diversity of crops under regenerative management which reflects resilience
and adaptation. -
The farmer’s vision for the future and how likely they are to achieve it.
Why Some Questions Are Not Scored
Not all questions in the application are scored. The non-scored questions are still crucial as they provide valuable insights into the broader regenerative agriculture landscape.
By gathering this information, we can improve the T50F platform, create more targeted resources and opportunities, and better support and empower farmers on their regenerative work towards resilient and profitable businesses. Although these answers aren’t scored, they play a vital role in shaping the future of regenerative farming.
These questions allow us to:
-
Understand the unique challenges and experiences farmers face.
-
Build resources tailored to the needs of the regenerative community.
-
Support farmers more effectively by learning about their successes, challenges, and areas where additional help is needed
